| Kwik Trip, Inc. is looking for an experienced Transportation Superintendent who will be responsible for providing logistical services to our 400+ Convenience Store locations in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa. This position is responsible for the overall operation and management of a Transportation Department within Convenience Transportation including: co-worker recruitment, orientation, development and supervision. This leader will also be responsible for developing, updating and conducting training programs; management of logistics operations; creating work schedules; writing performance appraisals; following and enforcing all company policies; providing leadership to the department’s 280-plus coworkers that are placed in different locations throughout the tri-state area. |

| Education, training, experience: |
Five years or more of related management and leadership experience required. Ability to work well alone and as part of a team; strong proven leadership skills; accurate and detail oriented; strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; ability to provide co-workers with timely and professional job performance feedback; exercise sound judgment within company guidelines; follow and enforce company policies; prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple tasks; strong time management skills to meet department deadlines; demonstrate high level of customer service; ability to operate a personal computer; working knowledge of Microsoft Office products; possess a valid drivers license w/ excellent driving record; work in fast-paced, safety conscious environment. Specialized training and familiarization is needed with various transport equipment. Experience in an AS-400 environment is a plus. Knowledge of Hazardous Materials, DOT, FMCSA, OSHA and EPA regulations is required.
Work Schedule: 50-plus hours or more a week, Monday through Friday, typically daytime hours. This co-worker will also have on call responsibility. It may be necessary for this co-worker to work alternate work schedules and additional hours. This job also requires you to periodically travel with some overnights. |
